200-hour Yoga Teacher Training - $2500

Yoga Alliance Approved 200-hour Yoga course that focuses on Fitness Yoga and Flow Yoga. You will learn foundational concepts about how yoga began and how it has changed to the modern day practice. The benefits of each asana (yoga pose) will be demonstrated, practiced and discussed. Sections covered include the anatomy of yoga, structuring a yoga class, adjustments during a yoga class and specialty yoga classes such as prenatal and senior yoga. Ayurvedic living and nutrition will also be reviewed. This is a great opportunity to get a deeper understanding of yoga and learn how to instruct others in one of the oldest practices to help the body. The course fee includes the 200-hour program, materials, a 3-month membership fee to a yoga studio for the length of the program and entrance fees to special yoga programs like SUP yoga. This is an experience you will never forget!

Aquatic Fitness Instructor - $300

This course trains and certifies participants to teach aquatic fitness classes in a class or one-on-one setting. Hydrodynamic principles, water temperature, music selection, and choreography for various types of classes will be covered in this course. Students will also learn to incorporate tools such as fins, belts, and water dumbbells in class.

Basic Nutrition for Health - $200

This course trains and certifies participants to teach others on nutrition for healthy living. It covers calorie distribution, counseling the general population and gives participants a good understanding on how to lose or maintain weight healthfully. Plus, it discusses grocery lists, healthy menus and recipes to cook for quality living.

Basic Sports Nutrition - $200

This course builds on the knowledge learned in the basic nutrition course and trains participants to become nutrition advisors for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. This course teaches students the needs of different athletes whether they are endurance, strength or power athletes. It covers assessment of athletes, counseling for specific sports and provides a comprehensive overview of supplements and their effects.

Basic Herbal Nutrition - $200

This course trains and certifies participants on how to use botanical herbs for health. All herbs covered in this course are backed by research and recommended by the American Botanical Council. Over 30 herbs are covered and their proper use is discussed to help people live a healthy life using natural alternatives.

FitAdult Fitness - $200

This course trains and certifies fitness professionals to work with the elderly population at assisted living establishments or in a gym setting.  Participants will learn how to help seniors achieve balance, functionality and strength in muscle and bones with special consideration to medications and specific medical conditions.
Prerequisite: None; Personal Strength & Conditioning preferred, but not required

FitBody Yoga - $300

This course trains and certifies participants to teach Yoga in a class or one-on-one setting.  FitBody Yoga emphasizes safety in technique to be used with the general poplulation and avoid injury. Over 100 Yoga poses are reviewed plus class sequencing for proper flow. Adjustments for each pose is also covered.  Several modifications and progressions are taught for each pose in order to make a pose easier or more challenging. Discussion of types of breathing is also included.

FitCore Pilates I - $300

This course trains and certifies participants to teach Pilates in a class or one-on-one setting.  Participants will learn how to train with the Pilates method as taught by Joseph Pilates but in a fitness setting with special care to avoid injury.  Mat Pilates exercises will be covered plus a review of how to incorporate resistance bands and Pilates weighted balls in a beginner and intermediate class workout.

FitCore Pilates II - $300

This course expands upon knowledge learned in FitCore Pilates I by teaching the particpant more advanced exercises.  An advanced class is taught to those who have already practiced Pilates for at least 8 weeks.  In this course students will be taught advanced versions of Pilates exercises and also how to incorporate the Swiss ball to keep intermediate and advanced students challenged and coming back to class.
Prerequisite: FitCore Pilates I

FitCycle Instructor - $300

This course trains and certifies participants to teach indoor cycling classes.  Students will learn to design and teach a safe and effective group cycling class.  Bike set-up, biomechanics of the torso, hands and feet will be covered.  Music selection and choreography will be reviewed for different types of classes including interval and endurance.  Proper positioning and safety cues to avoid injury will be discussed.

FitKid Fitness - $200

This course trains and certifies fitness professionals to work with the children and adolescent population at school or extra-curricular settings.  Participants will learn how to teach children to exercise in a safe, fun and effective way using correct form with special consideration to developing muscles and bones to avoid injury or harm.

Facility Management & Administration - $200

This course trains and certifies current and aspiring facility managers to effectively and efficiently run a fitness facility.  All areas including front desk, weight room, group fitness, accounting and junior management are reviewed as well as internal operations including group fitness instructor, personal trainer, sales people and member contracts.  Special attention will be emphasized in creating group fitness schedules, designing personal training commission tiers and making both of these programs fruitful for all. Interviewing and hiring personnel will also be reviewed.

Fitness Kickboxing Instructor - $200

This course is a specialty certification that trains current group fitness instructors to teach fitness kickboxing classes. Participants learn punches, kicks, and blocks used in class including very specific hand and foot safety cues for each. Music selection and choreography is taught as well as a warm-up specific to kickboxing to avoid injury.

Group Fitness Instructor - $300

This course trains and certifies those new to teaching group fitness classes how to design and instruct a safe and effective class.  Several types of classes are covered as this is a foundational course for all modalities of group exercise. Classes reviewed include aerobics, step, kickboxing, cycling, Pilates, Yoga and body sculpting in a group class setting.  Music selection, choreography methods, warm-up, cool-down and stretching for injury prevention is also covered in this course.

Personal Strength & Conditioning Trainer I - $300

This course trains and certifies participants to become personal strength and conditioning trainers.  Basic personal training terminology is discussed extensively and applicable situations. Students are taught how to write exercise prescriptions including the cardiovascular conditioning segment, making this certification distinguished from others.  Pulley and cable machine exercises will be reviewed and demonstrated, as well as free weights including bars, dumbbells & resistance bands.

Personal Strength & Conditioning Trainer II - $300

This course builds on the knowledge learned in the first part of the personal trainer certification and delves further into physiological changes and adaptations of the human body.  Advanced training modalities are reviewed and further physiological adaptations are discussed with the use of plate-loaded machines, isolateral machines, suspension bands, sand bags, kettle bells and Swiss Balls. Several exercises are demonstrated for each and students are taught how to write exercise prescriptions using these pieces as well as the necessary cardiovascular conditioning segment.
